L4D2 Server IP and Port has changed [UPDATED]

the IP-address and the port where our L4D2 server is at home has changed. Please update your scripts to point to

This is because I am trying to sort out the trouble we have with the server lately. It seems that we have two issues:

  • A random crash which I think might be hardware related so I have asked if Multiplay can move our server-instance to an other piece of hardware – hence the new IP-address.
  • A reproducable crash which gets triggered by slaying players via Source Mod. For this issue I have opened a trouble ticket at Multiplay and I hope they will fix it as soon as possible. Since there seem to be more complaints about the slay command crashing the server I hope they will now move this bug up in the list of priorities.

I have an e-mail from the friendly support staff at Multiplay in which they respond to the trouble ticket.

We have made some changes to the way Sourcemod handles this and we have updated Sourcemod and metamod as well, let us know how you get on.

So, we should test the server. The random crashes which I think might be hardware related should be solved already by moving to another machine and I hope the reproducable crashes caused by Source Mod should be gone if it is fixed by updating SM and MM.


The server seems to be fixed. We have slayed and slapped and played a whole map without any crashes.
